EPL: Arsenal 1 – 0 Chelsea …. It feels GOOD

A lot was at stake today, it is the grand slam Sunday, Manchester against Liverpool, Arsenal against Chelsea. Manchester won 1-0 by Tevez’s goal, so Arsenal had to win to stay top of the table, and they WON.

A very vital win against rivals Chelsea. Arsenal simply deserved to win today by far more than just a 1-0 scoreline, two goals were canceled, and tons of amazing shots on target. Amazing game, great goal by Gallas in the last seconds of the first half, huge team effort.

Read more and watch the video highlights after the jump…

Today Gallas gave Arsenal the first win against Chelsea since 11 matches in all games, the last time Arsenal beat Chelsea was in a Premier League match on Feb. 2004 that ended 2-1 in the Stamford Bridge. Gallas have also saved Arsenal last month when he gave them the equalizer against Manchester United which ended 2-2.

Arsene Wenger seemed satisfied, he said: “It was a tough game, locked in the first half, open in the second and one where we should have scored a second goal, our defense was outstanding today. Not only did they keep a clean sheet but they scored the goal as well. Overall I felt it was a great football game.”

Terry was injured in the 40th minute of the first half, but it is still not clear if it is a serious injury. 5 players from both sides were given yellow cards. The match heated up in the last 15 minutes of the second half, Van Persie and Adebayor both scored, but the goals were disallowed, one was an offside and the other was a foul.

Tottenham Spurs SACKS Martin Jol, who didnt see this coming ?!!

They splashed him with cash and gave him full control, but he simply wasn’t able to reach to the level they were expecting. Do you blame them ?!

They are 18th on the EPL table, they just lost 1-2 to Getafe in the UEFA CUP, everybody expected this, we only didn’t know when.

By the way the decision to sack him was taken before getafe’s match but they waited until after the match, anyway they are hoping to get Juande Ramos Sevilla’s manager and the ex-spurs midfielder Gus Poyet as Assistant Manager who is currently Leeds Assistant Manager. But they might have to wait til the end of the season, for Sunday’s game they are giving the task to their Reserves Coach Clive Allen.

Where do you think Martin Jol would go ??

Here is the official club statement, Click Here.

CL: Real Madrid 4 -2 Olympiakos

As expected, 4-2 with robinho being the keyword here. I wont say that it was a perfect show, the red card given to Vassilas Torosidis on the 13th minute did help.

The main thing that made me go mad, no REAL MAAAD is the penalty ruud lost, its like my heart was eaten by my stomach, unbelievable. Of-course the one thing that nearly 100% of real madrid fans agreed on was that salgado is not on the same level with the game being played, and it will take something soooooooo special to get him back to his old him or at least get a bit more awake and aware of things happening around him.

As i said before Schuster has to use Robinho on the left wing and leave the arguing and fighting and warnings for later. Robinho just proved his worth in this match but i still bet Schuster will forget all about this when Robben comes back after 6 weeks.

A whisper to Schuster’s ear ”Robinho saved your ASS”.

Here are the goals…

CL: Arsenal 7 – 0 Slavia Prague (Hell Ya…)

A lesson to be taught to each player in every football academy in the world, this is as fine as it gets, amazing, TRUE team power. I was so afraid yesterday and expected a 1-0 scoreline, but oh Arsenal proved me and everybody wrong. Unbelievable beautiful fantastic game.

Fabregas, Hleb, Theo Walcott, Bendtner….. Great Goals…..

What we should think about now is the next 2 big games, Liverpool and Manchester Unite, although after todays game we should be less worried but still a huge difference between those teams…

Anyway here are the goals ….

CL: CSKA Moscow Vs. Inter Milan (Quick Preview)

Inter Milan will be playing their third match today in the Champions League Group G, they are in 2nd place with 3 points, they will be facing CSKA Moscow who are so hungry for a win now so they might have a chance in qualifying because they are in 4th place with just 1 point.

One of many advantages CSKA Moscow has is that they are playing home and there is a number of Inter Milan players who are disqualified such as Burdisso, Chivu, Maicon and Suazo. And Matterazi is still injured, plus some rumors which says that Ibrahimovic wont be playing becuase of a flu, although this is still not verified. So CSKA Moscow have all reasons to grab the 3 points.

Expected formation: (4-3-1-2): Julio Cesar, Zanetti, Cordoba, Samuel, Maxwell, Stankovic, Cambiasso, Vieira, Figo, Ibrahimovic, Crespo.

I expect a score of 1-0 for Inter or if they play in full power maybe 3-1.
