Real Madrid needs to splash £75 Million to get Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United

When the transfer window opened Real Madrid offered Manchester United 60 millions euros for Cristiano Ronaldo, but Manchester told Real not to bother by making any offers below 100 million euros which is around £73.9 million. And even then they still might not sell the player.

Personally I think Real Madrid will eventually cave and pay whatever Manchester requests, the player is talented and Real Madrid want his badly, and it will be one of the most additions to the squad in Calderon’s history. But the real question now is who will Real Madrid sell and will this sale disrupt the harmony of the squad.

I wont be surprised if Real Madrid was successful in buying Berbatov from Tottenham and Ronaldo from Manchester United by the end of the transfer window. But at the same time, I expect the sale of at least 2 to 3 players, one of those will be a critical player who played well in the first half of this season. Lets see what happens, but I will be surprised if Real Madrid made no purchases this January.

Real Madrid beats Barca, Goes 7 Points Clear

On the 36th minute of the first half, Baptista gives the ultimate gift for Real Madrid manager, administration, players and fans. An amazing pass from Ruud Van Nistelrooy met with right-footed shot by Baptista to go through from the edge of the area to shock Victor Valdes, Frank Rijkaard, and the Barcelona fans.

What Barca fans say, and the Video Highlights after the jump…..

Real madrid played well, they effectively prevented Barca from attacking, Iker Casillas made couple of fantastic saves, but the defense line also should be congratulated on a very good display.

Barca just seemed so tired even before the match started, Ronaldinho and Eto’o just were not in it 100%, Ronaldinho tried and tried but still didnt seem in form. The only Barca player that I can say that was good was Iniesta.

Every Barca fan I have spoken to since yesterday keeps saying the same thing “Barca lost because Messi was injured”, if that is your way of thinking, and that is how you see it. Great, keep kidding yourself like that, maybe you will be able to sleep in the night :)

Here are the highlights:

Real Madrid puts Mahamadou Diarra up for sale

Real Madrid rumors keeps puring in, the Spanish sports daily Marca is insisting that Diarra is on his way out of Real Madrid maybe as soon as the winter. The rumor says that Schuster, altho using the player in different amount of times and positions, still does not want him in the squad and informed the board with his decision and the board have approved it.

The reason why it could be in winter rather in the summer, simply because Diarra will be playing in the African Cup in the winter which means not being available to play for Real Madrid for about 5 weeks, which makes the player even less valuable to them.

In the end, my opinion is that Schuster will miss the player if he does not have a replacement in winter, Diarra have  played a good role especially when Schuster had dual defensive midfield plan. I know that Gago is there and Gago is heavily competing in that position but still Diarra will be missed.

Will Drogba join Real Madrid?

Since the controversial resignation of Jose Maurinho, Drogba was in a bad mood. He criticized the club and the management several times. But later the team went on to perform well and he scored some goals and everybody thought the situation is resolved.

Apparently no, Chelsea is angry with Drogba because he has chose to represent Ivory Coast in the Olympic team next summer which will this winter between Jan and Feb of 2008. Which makes him unavailable for chelsea in the Pre-Season and the start of the Premier League. Add to this him not being available this winter for around 5 weeks because of the African Cup.Here comes Real Madrid stepping in with $30 million to get the player as an option for Ruud van Nistelrooy, especially being prone to injury lately.

In my opinion Drogba is  not the right choice, seeing how Schuster play he wont fit and it will take him time and effort to fit in, which could be costly in results for Real Madrid. Drogba will just disrupt the squad which itself is not that stable anyway.

I can imagine Drogba playing for teams such as Manchester United, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Valencia.

Ibrahimovic wishes to play for Real Madrid

He tried to be subtle but failed, Inter Milan’s Ibrahimovic showed his ambitions to join Real Madrid one day, but kept saying he is happy in Inter Milan, and that he wont leave because of the crowd violence in italy and so on, he even semi-attacked fabio cannavaro for leaving italy to play in spain. What do you exactly want ?!

First you say you wish you play for Real Madrid and that they are the best “They’re one of the biggest clubs in the world and everyone in the world wants to play for them.“, and then you drool over joining them “Nobody knows the future. I have a long contract with Inter Milan, but in football, you never know what’s around the corner.“, then you go back to say “I have no fear when playing in Italy because there is a lot of protection. All the players have long and important contracts and are not responsible for what is happening. Unlike (Fabio) Cannavaro, I think I’m lucky to play in Italy where I’m very happy at the moment“.

This is just a rescue call for Real Madrid telling them to please come and take me from this place. I think that Ibrahimovic shouldve never said what he said, and just focus on his football, its not as if he is exceeding  expectations this season. And even if he was he just shouldn’t talk to the media in this way.

CL: Olympiakos Vs. Real Madrid (Preview)

Real Madrid will be playing their 4th match in the Champions League Group C, nicely standing top of the table with 7 points, while Olympiakos is playing at home and is 2nd place with 4 points.

As we can recollect, Robinho played a very important role in the last match which ended 4-2 for Real Madrid, the match was sensational really made us all be on edge. Real Madrid players showed their real spirit in that match and showed how much they want to win this season.

One weird observation is that Real Madrid lost a match before meeting Olympiakos, in the first match they lost 2-1 to Espanyol and now they just got a 2-0 loss against Sevilla. But i still expect Real Madrid to focus in this match and just put whatever past wins and losses aside.

Wingers Arjen Robben and Gonzalo Higuaín and the backup goal keeper Jerzy Dudek are still injured but the central defender Pepe and midfielder Wesley Sneijder are back and going to be traveling with their team mates but not sure if any of them would be able to play full 90 minutes.

Olympiakos will be missing injured defender Paraskevas Antzas and Vassilis Torossidis who was sent off in the previous match. Michal Zewlakow is back from injury and might feature in the match, although i seriously doubt he could play a full match.

My eyes will be locked on 3 main players today, ofcourse Robinho especially after his great show against Olympiakos although he wasn’t able to do much against Sevilla in the Spanish league but still its going to be different here. Another Real Madrid player to watch would be Wesley Sneijder that is if he played any part in the game. From Olympiakos the amazing midfielder Predrag Djordjevic who is 35 years old and plays as if he is 25 amazing speed and dribbling.

Real Madrid expected formation (4-1-3-2): Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Metzelder, Cannavaro, Marcelo, Heinze,  Diarra,  Sneijder, Guti, Robinho – Raúl, van Nistelrooy

Olympiakos expected formation (4-5-1): Nikopolidis, Patsatzoglou, Julio Cesar, Zewlakow, Bravo, Archubi, Ledesma, Djordjevic, Stoltidis, Galleti, LuaLua

I expect a win for Real Madrid, maybe 2-1, in the worst situations i would expect a draw 1-1 or 2-2. But i believe we will win tonight.

Real or Graphics ?!

While surfing the net I found a challenge created by Autodesk, basically they give you a bunch of photos and you have to decide which is real and which is computer graphics.

At first I thought it would be simple, but I got only 6 out of 10 right, so Its not as easy as you might think, just go and see how many will you get right.

Spanish League: Valencia 1 – 5 Real Madrid

They said we wont do it again, they said it was just a coincidence, they said it cant happen, real was just lucky they said, Villareal wasn’t ready. Well, we did it baby, AGAIN 5 freakin goals and against who? against Valencia, after all the warnings and the expectations that Real Madrid will fall and suffer in-front of Los Che but Los Merengues showed what they are made of and scored 5 goals.

So we are still top of the table, but by the way this wont make me change my opinion of Schuster, i still hate his guts and i think this glory isnt made by him but 100% by the stars we have. Robinho is proving day after day and goal after goal that he is NEEDED in Real Madrid, you can easily see that he is involved in all the goals.

Our next game is against Sevilla and if we play in this way then, i expect a win of at least 3-0 scoreline.

Here are the goals…

CL: Real Madrid Vs. Olympiakos (Quick Preview)

Real Madrid will be playing their 3rd match in Champions League Group C, 2nd in the table with 4 points playing against Olympiakos who is 1st with 4 points. Real Madrid is suffering from a number of injuries specially the left wing with heinze and robben out between 3 to 6 weeks. Schuster has a tricky game here, Olympiakos is in good shape with no serious injuries and the winner here will be top of the table. I believe schuster needs Robinho’s services tonight in the left wing and they should just put the alleged partying issue and returning late mistake to be dealt with later and focus on this game. Personally I will be watching Olympiakos striker Lua-Lua, he already scored 3 goals in 5 matches in the local league. I believe he will have his Champions League first goal this season tonight.

The expected formation (4-1-3-2): Casillas, Salgado, Sergio Ramos, Metzelder, Marcelo, Diarra, Robinho, Guti, Sneijder, Raul, Van Nistelrooy.

I expect a 3-1, 3-2 for Real Madrid by Full Time.

Spanish League: Espanyol 2 – 1 Real Madrid

Am not gonna blame this on the injuries or on the different situations we are in, and at the same time i wont blame the players, i will blame schuster. No not because we lost, no i have been blaming schuster since we were losing those friendlies before the league. Ofcourse nobody was criticizing him anymore after that because we started winning. But i always still felt that he wasn’t the one getting us those wins, its those star players we have, come on do you even feel that this guy does anything, he has robben, raul, van nistelroy, sneider, robinho, guti, cannavaro, and so on…. I never felt that those wins were in any way done by his amazing planning or formations or anything, people we were winning because of the players, we have some really talented players. If cappelo was managing yesterday, i dont think we would’ve lost like this.

Here is sergio ramos amazing goal.
