Barack Obama to Announce Evan Bayh as Vice President Choice on Wednesday 6th of August 2008 ?!

bayh Well this is not a sure thing, but many many journalists and media sources are either directly or indirectly hinting that Obama might announce his choice for Vice President before the Olympics, the reason for choosing this time is that the media will be focused on the Olympics and the only other time to do that is on the convention. So to take the attention of the media a number of journalists are predicting that it would be on Wednesday, some even predict who it will be, and the name I am reading and hearing a lot these past few days is Evan Bayh the Indiana Senator.

Although I have been following the news carefully on TV, Newspapers and Online Political Blogs, nothing was as accurate and as straightforward as the article I read on the Huffington Post on the 4th of August where Bil Browning states why he predicts that Obama will be announcing his VP on Wednesday and why it will be Bayh. I think the most powerful reason he states is when he wrote:

“I just got an invite from the Obama campaign to attend an appearance on Wednesday that isn’t on Obama’s official calendar. Why not? The campaign said, “I can’t tell you what the event is about, but we want to make sure you have a ticket so you can cover it for the Bilerico Project. We want Bilerico Project to be there for this one.”"

I think Evan Bayh is a good choice for many reasons, and a bad choice for many many reasons too. One of the most obvious reasons why he might be a good choice is ofcourse the chance in turning Indiana blue in November, another reason could be that he was a Clinton supporter, but I think one of many reasons why he is a bad choice is the fact that he was PRO-WAR, and he is a Conservative who was an honorary co-chair of the neocon pro-war Committee For the Liberation of Iraq, with McCain !?!?! Many might debate how Conservative bayh is, but in the end of the day he is a conservative who was with McCain in the Iraq Liberation Committee, what can be said more than that?

So although the scenario depicted by the media is PERFECT and MAKES SENSE, the CHOICE is sort of BAD. Just saying… lets wait and see.

Mccain: Given the situation on the Iraq-Pakistan border?!?!? (VIDEO)

mccaingaffe All eyes are on Obama in Iraq carefully waiting for a mistake or a gaffe expecting that he might be as ignorant as Mccain, now we all know that people can make mistakes, when they are tired from “campaignin” but when it becomes a series of mistakes then we can easily say that this is a REAL problem IN the candidate, I wont have to remind you of the many many gaffes by Mccain one of those ones that really made me laugh is the Sunna Shia error while he was in Iraq and he was corrected by Liebermann.

Now I can hear some of you shouting towards the screen saying that also Obama had gaffes while in the primaries, such as 57 states bit, well look at the percentage between those two guys and DECIDE.

As I said while all the eyes are on Obama, the first foreign policy gaffe was OWNED by Mr. John Mccain.

But is this being covered by the mainstream media, really doubt any of them shed any light on this issue. The media are so hooked on Obama, what he says what he does where he goes, is he moving to the center, who will be his vice president, is he this is he that and during allllll this Mccain is having a free ride. The only shows that I guess will show this clip is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Both cable shows :)

Democratic Party Insiders Approve Seating Florida and Michigan Delegates with Half Votes, Obama needs 66 delegates to Clinch the Nomination

dnc Does this really means anything, why is she still running, is it really possible to win it, even if she takes it to the convention which I really doubt the party will allow it to be stretched that far, but why is she doing this, cant she just be a leader and show some respect and congratulate Obama. Today we find that the Democratic Party is not controlled by the Clintons, because believe me for a while we had this illusion that it is actually like that. Anyway they approved  seating Florida and Michigan Delegates with Half Votes, I really do not know if this is actually gonna make any difference.

The only difference I see is that the numbers changed a bit, now to clinch the nomination the candidate needs to get 2,118 delegates, Obama had a total of 1,984 delegates ofcourse counting both pledged and super delegates, now after getting 32 delegates from Michigan and 36 from Florida his total is 2,052. Clinton in the other hand, had a total of 1,781 delegates, now after getting 38 in Michigan and 56.5 from Florida her total is 1,877.5.

Obama needs now 66 delegates to clinch the nomination, I guess the numbers might be different, some sources says Obama needs 64 more delegates and some say 66, so whatever the number is Obama is the nominee, I cant believe that we are actually still discussing this.

Harold Ickes, in ending his statement against the Michigan proposal said:
“Mrs Clinton has asked me to reserve her rights to take this to the credentials committee.”

She really wants to take this to the convention?! She rather hurt her party rather than just drop out, if this goes to the convention and I am so sure it wont, but if it does neither of those two candidates will win, and we will end up with a BUSH third term, idiots.
