Redlasso which allowed bloggers to search and clip footage aired from the major American networks like NBC, FOX, CBS and Cable Channels such as MSNBC, Comedy Central. so basically if I wanted to show a clip of a part of an episode of Countdown with Keith Olbermann, I can just go to Redlasso search by date and channel and keyword obviously and then edit the footage and create a clip where I can embed on my blog.
While most of the channels now do have most of their shows videos online, and embedable on any blog but its not editable, Redlasso gave control for you to crop the segment you want from any show. NBC and FOX have filed a lawsuit against Redlasso on the 23rd of July 2008, and on the 25th of July 2008 Redlasso suspended their service. You can read their Press Release for full details. Although they still say they will try to come to an agreement with the networks, I really don’t see that happening.
The thing that really confused me and I would be thankful to anyone out there who can explain this for me, they say that the clips created by paying customers will still be working fine, so isn’t that adding more risk on Redlasso showing that they are profiting from others copyrighted materials? I donno but does this have any other meaning?! please help and enlighten me.

Yesterday Barack Obama won big in North Carolina, he smashed clinton by more than 15 points. While in Indiana Clinton was a able to have a modest 2 points win over Obama. So In NC Obama wins 56% to 42% for Hillary and in Indiana Clinton wins 51% to 49% to Obama.
Bottom line Obama has even more delegates now than ever, he needs less than 300 delegates to lock the nomination, she needs to win 80% of the upcoming delegates, which as we know is impossible.
Everybody knows it was all over for Hillary months ago, but the media just wanted to keep the competition alive so they would have something to do. Have panels, interviews, polls, projections and discussion after discussion after discussion.
But I promise all of the media that they will be very busy in the general election, and after November they will go back to cover Paris Hilton and Britney Spears showing their stuff.

It seems that Rotana found that the Arab World is lacking in Movie Channels and/or we are not watching enough movies. So they felt the desperate need in finding a way to fill this huge void.
Oh Rotana what could have we done without you, well, maybe watch MBC2 or Dubai ONE TV or or or or….. Go to the cinema?! maybe rent a DVD, No…!
Ok, so what is so special about this channel? Does it show the latest of the latest movies, not exactly, it has been rumored that it will show movies as they were supposed to be watched…. UNCENSORED.
I realllllllly doubt that it is true, on NileSat and a free to air channel, that would be impossible. But some claim that they will depend on showing a warning before the movie. And their list of movies does include some questionable titles.
Most people who are into movies subscribes to Showtime, and this channel wont make any difference. The latest FOX movies go to Showtime and ORBIT anyway. So I guess this channel will make some noise for a week or so and then fade in the background.
My advice to those who care, DELETE this channel from your receivers even if they will censor, just don’t expose your kids and families to this CRAP.
UPDATE:FOX MOVIES press release states that the channel WILL actually censor all inappropriate scenes from the movies because of this region’s special traditions. And that some of the most famous movies will be selected to be dubbed in Arabic. And the press release also announced that later this year there will be another channel released for American series with the same brand name FOX.

But to see even Chris Mathews go through this too is just shocking.
Now, he did apologize, but so did all those who did this “mistake”. Basically what happened is that while Chris was promoting the show’s lineup, which included discussion of Barack Obama’s plagiarism of Deval Patrick’s speeches, a photo of Osama bin Laden was shown during the mention of Obama’s story.

Now I know some will say he is not to be blamed, it might have not been his fault, maybe it was a set up, maybe it was a real mistake. Well I just wish it was but I believe it was not a mistake or slip-up.
I always knew Fox News were funny, they don’t know it, the whole world knows it. From time to time when I want to have a good laugh I switch to my beloved channel and just watch, believe me it’s better than watching any sitcom, and everyday there is a new thing.
Day after day they become more full of shit, shitness just keeps leaking from them. Their sole goal in this life is just to provide enough distractions from what really is happening in this world, from Iraq to Iran, and even what is happening in USA. Basically they take one topic which is being talked about in the media and find the most ridiculous, stupid, crazy angle of it and expose that kind of BS to their viewers.
Am not an American but i do watch nearly all the news networks and even the news hours in their 4 major networks, and I still don’t think those other networks are better in any means, but please, for God’s sake does anybody actually believe what this channel says?!!?!? At first I didn’t think the Writers Strike would last long, I expected that the fat cats would cave in to try to avoid losing billions of dollars, at least that’s how i saw it. But it seems that the strike is going to continue and none of them are willing to lean towards any solution.
To be honest at first i didn’t understand what was the issue, and i thought those writers are really greedy, especially after reading some responses from the big guys in the industry, but thanks to a videos posted on youtube by the writers explaining what they are fighting for, I understood the situation and now I know that they are not asking for much.

Ofcourse this strike is going to have a huge affect on all of your favourite shows, and if it gets longer it seems that networks will start airing more and more reality shows, yes no need for writers, there is even a talk of Big Brother on CBS to start in the Winter for the first time in its history, as you know Big Brother is a summer show. One of the major surprises of the season would be Heroes ending with the 11th episode being the season finale on December 3rd.

I know I know expect anything from FOX News, but really I am amazed that people actually watch this channel and freakin believe a word it says. Anyway I was chatting online and people were saying that Barack Obama made a little girl cry, i said come on!! i mean its not impossible but why and how, so I search the net, and i reach to mediamatters.org, and get the full picture.
What actually happened is that in Fox News America’s Newsroom co-host Megyn Kelly teased an upcoming story by saying “Well, in other news, Barack Obama makes a little girl cry. What? That story … in five minutes.”, and then later co-host Bill Hemmer corrected the story that Obama actually took questions from the 5 year old hadasah jones after she shed some tears and got his attention.
So its just business as usual in FOX News, misleading and false news…

As usual I was reading different kind of news from here and there, and I was amazed when I read an article that states that FOX News and ONLY FOX News are blaming Al-Qaeda for the wildfires in California, well to be honest I dont watch FOX News I mean although am not an American but I watch MSNBC, CNN, the news hours on ABC, CBS, NBC just exactly how i watch BBC NEWS, Sky News, France 24, Euronews, Alarabiya, Aljazeera, and Aljazeera English and so on, but I don’t watch FOX News. Do I need to tell you why ?! oh you know already ok … so back to the Al-Qaeda big plan again, so I kept reading in shock, and in my mind i am still saying this cant be true, but in the end of the article a video that shows how FOX News are so fucking smart.
