Although I do not shop much online, but I do bid on some auctions from time to time, and most of websites I use have a feature were you get alerts either by email or SMS when the price or status of the item has changed.
BuyLater is a firefox extension that alerts you by either email or twitter (which could be forwarded to your cell phone) everytime the status or price of your item in amazon has changed, it does so by adding a “Buy This Later” button bellow Amazon’s “Add to Shopping Cart” button. So for example if the item was out of stock you will be emailed when it becomes available, or if the price changes.
When you are viewing an item you already added to your “Watch List” the button will be “You’re Watching This”. Ofcourse the extension is only available for Firefox and Flock, and it works only with Amazon, and you can easily maintain your items watch list online.
I believe that Amazon will eventually add this kind of feature themselves. I wonder why they didn’t until now.

Yep… IMAP is available for GMAIL now, although I wont start jumping in joy just yet. It seems that people are having hassles configuring it, so i would wait a bit, plus GMAIL doesnt FULLY supports IMAP, some features are not supported.
IMAP is good for multiple platform users, now you can access your mail from different platforms and keep the changes and see them from any platform….
If you login to your gmail and you cant see the setup for IMAP just try to logoff and login again and it will appear, if not just wait for couple of days.
Nobody is talking about it, I never heard about anything like this until now. I am talking about the “Storm Worm”. We all know worms, Sasser is a famous example, but these worms we know are simple and easily noticeable, simply because they were fastly spread.
Apparently this worm appeared in January and is spreading steadily since then, this worm affects machines that run windows, which means around 90% of the machines used in the world. It first appeared hidden in email attachments with the subject “230 dead as storm batters Europe”. The infected machines became part of a BotNet, no one knows how big is this BotNet but professionals estimate that it might be between a million and 50 million computers worldwide by now.
Yes, it is pretty scary, because until now this person or organization is not using this BotNet heavily or for anything big, which means they are waiting for the right time, maybe the right price who knows?!
