When I first read this I imagined I was reading it on the “Football Manager 2008″, its a Football Management game on PC, anyway, if you told me a year ago that this kind of offer was possible I would have laughed hysterically. Now some people think that Barcelona are desperate to land Adebayor, I really doubt that, I think they are desperate to offload Eto’o, and I think Arsenal will take this deal.
Arsenal will accept for two reasons, the first thing is that Adebayor is actually requesting the move or (a) move, he wont mind going to AC Milan or Barcelona. The second reason, well Arsene Wenger needs the cash to get new players, he must use this money to add to the money he will get from Hleb sale and get a replacement. We heard about the financial issues holding Arsenal from buying new quality players.
Nasri is amazing, but in the past two seasons I cant name one player that Arsene Wenger bought to the squad who was high profile established player. If you still do no get what I mean, look at what other big clubs were buying and compare. I know that buying a ready made star doesn’t always work, and I know that it is an Arsene’s Wenger tradition to make the stars, but that was before we see Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and other clubs being bought by billionaires who throw money to get ready made stars.
One last note, this news that everybody is talking about was first reported by the “DAILY STAR”, some might ask and why is this important? Well, I just ignore what they report because most of the time its pure fabrication. Lets wait and see.

I just heard the good news, Arsene Wenger will be one of the analysts in Aljazeera Sports Channel’s Euro 2008 coverage. I heard that some other big names might be there too, but for now this is the biggest name that I heard so far, it will be very interesting in hearing his say on the matches. And yet again Aljazeera Sports keeps surprising us. From now on I will expect anything, the sky is the limit.

Report after report, rumor after the other, linking the 22 years old Frenchman to multiple clubs such as Juventus and Inter Milan. In the end AC Milan is where he will be heading this summer. Flamini told his friends in Arsenal about his move this summer.
Well, I feel that Flamini is a good player and I think him moving now at this time is not a good choice for him. He has well established himself in Arsneal and if he just be patient enough he will be a big star, but it looks like his heart is set on leaving.
On the other hand, another Arsenal player is moving, Aliaksandr Hleb is also expected to head to Italy and play for Inter Milan. I guess he will be replacing Figo.
The real question now is what does Arsene Wenger has in mind? Will we see another season of barely buying players, or getting unexperienced youngsters.

A lot was at stake today, it is the grand slam Sunday, Manchester against Liverpool, Arsenal against Chelsea. Manchester won 1-0 by Tevez’s goal, so Arsenal had to win to stay top of the table, and they WON.
A very vital win against rivals Chelsea. Arsenal simply deserved to win today by far more than just a 1-0 scoreline, two goals were canceled, and tons of amazing shots on target. Amazing game, great goal by Gallas in the last seconds of the first half, huge team effort.
Read more and watch the video highlights after the jump…
Today Gallas gave Arsenal the first win against Chelsea since 11 matches in all games, the last time Arsenal beat Chelsea was in a Premier League match on Feb. 2004 that ended 2-1 in the Stamford Bridge. Gallas have also saved Arsenal last month when he gave them the equalizer against Manchester United which ended 2-2.
Arsene Wenger seemed satisfied, he said: “It was a tough game, locked in the first half, open in the second and one where we should have scored a second goal, our defense was outstanding today. Not only did they keep a clean sheet but they scored the goal as well. Overall I felt it was a great football game.”
Terry was injured in the 40th minute of the first half, but it is still not clear if it is a serious injury. 5 players from both sides were given yellow cards. The match heated up in the last 15 minutes of the second half, Van Persie and Adebayor both scored, but the goals were disallowed, one was an offside and the other was a foul.

Arsene Wenger had a bad experience with Ivory Cosat last time in the African Cup. He asked the permission to play 2 players in an FA Cup match which would delay their international release for like a day or so, and although they were not going to start any fitness tests only after 2 days, they still refused and Wenger had to pull Manu and Kolo out of the squad. So now he says he wont even bother asking them anything and that he would just stop using the players from the 5th of Jan 2008.
Here is his full rant, eh, interview.. (After the jump)“They are so stubborn that there is no point in even speaking to them, They will go at the beginning of January. They have to be available for their country 15 days before the start of the tournament.
Before the last tournament we tried to negotiate a later release date with the Ivory Coast, but we had no success so we won’t try this time. We will give them the players when they are due, and won’t even speak to the Ivorian federation about it.
We were so disappointed with their attitude last time. We had to pull Manu and Kolo out of the 2006 FA Cup game against Cardiff an hour before kick-off because the Ivory Coast were adamant they had to join up, even though they were only going to be sitting in a hotel room in Paris doing nothing.
Eboué had not played many games back then, so it would have been good for him to play in the FA Cup tie. But they wanted to meet up on a Saturday night, and even though our game was early that day they refused to give us permission to play them.
This was not even to go to Africa, but to go to Paris, where they would not even start fitness tests until the Monday. They just sat in the hotel that weekend, and I said to them ‘let’s be a little bit logical here’ - but it was impossible.
It is not the players’ fault at all, but the Ivory Coast management were very stubborn, and unnecessarily so because it would have been better for their preparation. So this time I will count them out of action from about January 5th until approximately the middle of February.”

Well, a number of news sources, mostly gossip, already set Adriano to Arsenal, we already know that Inter Milan have sent the faty adriano to brazil for rehab. Depression, partying, unfitness, and so on, basically the player lost his appetite to play. I totally disagree whats happening is that Mr. Mancini just doesn’t want the guy to play, i don’t get it why, but thats how its been for a while and any inter milan fan knows this. So lately there was a lot of fighting between the two men and you can see who suffered.
Although I like Adriano and I always watched him since he was half owned by parma and then later having great games playing beside crespo, but i think this wont be a winning deal for Arsenal, although i know wenger loves to fix broken players as he did with a good number of them who later became stars.
The way I see it, Adriano would just disrupt the harmony in the squad, although Gilberto moving to Inter Milan would actually solve Lassana Diarra dilemma, he did not feature with his new team and not playing regularly is giving him a hard time to play for France, he already sounded this yesterday in an interview:
“But it will be sorted out soon. To be called again by Les Bleus I have to play for my club. So that situation has to be settled quickly, I am not getting mad with that. I am patient.”
“At Arsenal I don’t feel in competition with Bacary Sagna, as I am a midfielder. The midfielders are outstanding, but I work fine in training sessions and I am waiting for an opportunity.”
The only way for Diarra to have a chance to start up matches is for Gilberto to leave, since the arrival of this player i was wondering what wenger was thinking ?, is it a long term solution or did he just do it in the bases of any player snatched from chelasea is a success buy?!
I don’t doubt Arsene Wenger, the years taught me that this guy always has the key and he knows what he is doing, but am telling you Gilberto will be a huge loss, he is a fit pro who knows Arsenal style and has history with wenger and handles the midfield rather beautifully. Getting Adriano might be good but he will have to accept the fact that he wont be playing any part in arsenal during this season because he will need to work hard to regain his fitness.
Bottom line, getting Adriano withought losing Gilberto or Rosicky is ok, other that its just our loss.
