I have a friend who is in a wheel chair, but wants to walk. He takes care of himself, and can stand, and drive. He is very interested in helping people to perfect a device like this. How can he get in on trials?

this is very impressive… it could help a lot of people who are paralyzed.. although i think that it is quite expensive…

It really is amazing!
At first while watching the video I though “Well that’s kind of slow and clunky.” The thought immediately after that more along the lines of “But hey, at least he can walk!”

I can’t imagine what it would be like to be confined to a wheelchair. Living in Boston, there is so much of the city that would be hard to the point of impossible to navigate.

I too am sorry this will not help you personally. But this with other advances may quickly change that.
