But if Mccain is ,then more so Obama. Case in point. He is on record and on tape saying that the "troop surge" was a bad idea, that it would never work to decrease the levels of violence in Iraq and that he was against it from the begining. Then , when it became obvious to everyone that the surge was working, he reluctantly gave credit to every one but the troops for the decrease in violence. Now, he acknowledges the success and credits the American troops and their Iraqi counterparts (trained by Americans) for the decrease in violence and has wiped his website clean of all previous anti-surge remarks.
