Redlasso which allowed bloggers to search and clip footage aired from the major American networks like NBC, FOX, CBS and Cable Channels such as MSNBC, Comedy Central. so basically if I wanted to show a clip of a part of an episode of Countdown with Keith Olbermann, I can just go to Redlasso search by date and channel and keyword obviously and then edit the footage and create a clip where I can embed on my blog.
While most of the channels now do have most of their shows videos online, and embedable on any blog but its not editable, Redlasso gave control for you to crop the segment you want from any show. NBC and FOX have filed a lawsuit against Redlasso on the 23rd of July 2008, and on the 25th of July 2008 Redlasso suspended their service. You can read their Press Release for full details. Although they still say they will try to come to an agreement with the networks, I really don’t see that happening.
The thing that really confused me and I would be thankful to anyone out there who can explain this for me, they say that the clips created by paying customers will still be working fine, so isn’t that adding more risk on Redlasso showing that they are profiting from others copyrighted materials? I donno but does this have any other meaning?! please help and enlighten me.
I got my beta account on Redlasso back on March 2008, and only started using it for my blog on July 2008, and only for two of my posts, why? I HAD A FEELING THIS WILL HAPPEN

An amazing advertisement that is really so good that it makes you want to help in any way you can. It is to spread awareness on the issue of water problems in poor countries, as the ad said 1.1 BILLION which is the same as the population of North America and Europe wash with, bath in and drink dirty water EVERY DAY!! When I accidentally saw this video on Youtube I was sure it was fake, after few seconds I just typed in the name on Google and realized this is real, very REAL. It feels as if I am watching a Sci Fi movie, the thing that made me wonder if this is real or not is how small it is. This is a dream come true to all those who have paralyzed legs they can simply regain their life. The man in this video was confined to his wheelchair for 20 YEARS!!! Yes imagine how he felt when he just stood up and walked, I am confined to my wheelchair too but I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta and this device wont work for me, but this gives me hope that one day who knows what could be invented
I can see this going easily to the next level, making it even lighter and who knows maybe integrating it into the body.

All eyes are on Obama in Iraq carefully waiting for a mistake or a gaffe expecting that he might be as ignorant as Mccain, now we all know that people can make mistakes, when they are tired from “campaignin” but when it becomes a series of mistakes then we can easily say that this is a REAL problem IN the candidate, I wont have to remind you of the many many gaffes by Mccain one of those ones that really made me laugh is the Sunna Shia error while he was in Iraq and he was corrected by Liebermann.
Now I can hear some of you shouting towards the screen saying that also Obama had gaffes while in the primaries, such as 57 states bit, well look at the percentage between those two guys and DECIDE.
As I said while all the eyes are on Obama, the first foreign policy gaffe was OWNED by Mr. John Mccain.
But is this being covered by the mainstream media, really doubt any of them shed any light on this issue. The media are so hooked on Obama, what he says what he does where he goes, is he moving to the center, who will be his vice president, is he this is he that and during allllll this Mccain is having a free ride. The only shows that I guess will show this clip is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Both cable shows

The star of “Nation of Whiners” Phil Gramm who is a former U.S Senator and Lawmaker from Texas who is also a past presidential candidate have stepped down from his role as a co-chairman for Mccain’s Campaign. This is after his controversial comments on the economy and calling USA a “Nation of Whiners”.

I was watching Countdown, and Rachel Maddow is doing a great job while Keith Olbermann is on vacation, anyway, the segment am talking about here is when Rachel showed clips that goes back to 2003 showing how Mccain was always a big supporter of Bush on the Iraq war and not what he claims now that he did disagree with him before. Why do these politicians lie like that don’t they know that there is Internet and people can easily find out the truth? Or are they still thinking that this thing called Internet is a new invention and not many people have access?!

It is being reported that Barcelona and Ronaldinho have decided to take 2 to 3 days to decide where he will go, so it is 100% sure now that Ronaldinho is leaving, I know it seems naive but some people still had hopes that he will stay at Barca. Manchester City is leading as reported by Barcelona themselves stating that the Manchester City’s offer is more “attractive”.
In my opinion if Ronaldinho really wants to play and get better and achieve higher goals he should sign for AC Milan, although am an Inter Milan fan, but am also an Arsenal fan, so to be totally frank he shouldn’t move to Manchester City. If his goal is to go to some club and become pampered and the king and play is minimal effort then Manchester City it is.
The Barca’s president Joan Laporta have told Catalunya Radio that Ronaldinho and his agent who is also his brother “have had two interesting proposals and they are leaning more towards the one from Manchester City. We hope to be able to resolve the situation this week.” It is believed that within those 2 to 3 days if no deal was done Ronaldinho would just join training.
The real question I guess is, can Ronaldinho make all that difference for Manchester City, can one good player lift a club by himself. I know Manchester has some good players, but still they are for sure not the kind of Ronaldinho. Lets wait and see…. This summer transfer market is getting hotter by the day.

When I first read this I imagined I was reading it on the “Football Manager 2008″, its a Football Management game on PC, anyway, if you told me a year ago that this kind of offer was possible I would have laughed hysterically. Now some people think that Barcelona are desperate to land Adebayor, I really doubt that, I think they are desperate to offload Eto’o, and I think Arsenal will take this deal.
Arsenal will accept for two reasons, the first thing is that Adebayor is actually requesting the move or (a) move, he wont mind going to AC Milan or Barcelona. The second reason, well Arsene Wenger needs the cash to get new players, he must use this money to add to the money he will get from Hleb sale and get a replacement. We heard about the financial issues holding Arsenal from buying new quality players.
Nasri is amazing, but in the past two seasons I cant name one player that Arsene Wenger bought to the squad who was high profile established player. If you still do no get what I mean, look at what other big clubs were buying and compare. I know that buying a ready made star doesn’t always work, and I know that it is an Arsene’s Wenger tradition to make the stars, but that was before we see Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and other clubs being bought by billionaires who throw money to get ready made stars.
One last note, this news that everybody is talking about was first reported by the “DAILY STAR”, some might ask and why is this important? Well, I just ignore what they report because most of the time its pure fabrication. Lets wait and see.

I came to know about this from a video made by Congressman Ron Paul, he was talking about a US House of Representatives Resolution (H.CON.RES 362) that requires a naval blockade on Iran. I later came to know that it has been pushed by the American Pro-Israel Lobby. It asks from Bush to stop all shipments of refined petroleum products from reaching Iran. It also “demands” that the President impose “stringent inspection requirements on all persons, vehicles, ships, planes, trains and cargo entering or departing Iran.”
This resolution has quickly attracted 146 co-sponsors and counting, this is an old number it is higher now, I think maybe 220. So the analysts have said that this will need a US naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. And by the way, in the senate a same kind of resolution have been introduced (S.RES 580) and have gained co-sponsors as fast its sister. If you still do not understand, to fully understand this, I can’t find anybody better than Ron Paul to explain it here it is:

To those who do not know, Stumbleupon is a website that allows users to rate websites and share them with their friends and with other users who have the same interests as them. Just by installing the Stumbleupon toolbar on Internet Explorer or Firefox the user sets his interests and by just clicking “Stumble” he will be able to jump from one website to another, so for example if one of his interests is gardening he will come across gardening websites, then he can rate it and like that Stumbleupon will understand what the user likes and dislikes to refine choice of websites to be stumbled.
Web surfers in the United Arab Emirates got the bad news two days ago that Etisalat the largest Telecom Company in UAE have blocked access to StumbleUpon and users were getting errors when clicking on their StumbleUpon Toolbar. People were angry, mad, and all kind of bad feelings you can think of, all sort of people from your regular web surfer to the Web Developer, all did not like the news and tried to contact Etisalat and ask why is this happening, but you always would get your regular answers. Some Web Developers and Bloggers actually use StumbleUpon as a way to promote their websites.
But today morning, and like every morning (I know am addicted ) I clicked on “Stumble” button of the StumbleUpon Toolbar and was shocked that it worked, I tried again and again and it worked, then just to confirm it I went to www.stumbleupon.com just to check if the homepage would load fine and it did. So I hope this comes as good news to all stumblers in UAE .
