Future TV is Forced Off Air by Hezbollah

May 9th, 2008

futurelogo After the Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah press conference yesterday evening, Lebanon went into a sort of civil war. The night was full of events, and while the sun rose hezbollah was in control of Beirut.

Most of the “Future” Militia are believed to have surrendered or ran away from fighting. Hezbolah leader has stressed on one main point in his press conference, that this is a political war not a religion war, and that it is a war between against a group of traitors who are employees of Bush and Cheney and Condoleezza Rice.

Now it is being reported that both pro-government channels Future TV and Al-Ekhbariya TV were forced off air by Hezbollah. There was a number of “Future” Militia fighters who tried to resist Hezbollah but failed.

Future TV news department manager talked on “New TV” channel and asked for the freedom of journalism.

I only wish this does not drag on and escalade to real huge civil war in Lebanon.
