Breaking News: John Edwards drops out of US presidential race

edwardsJ ohn Edwards drops out of US presidential race, I expect him to endorse Obama very soon. Edwards was always the underdog, trailing Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He based his campaign bid on supporting the middle class and promissed to get out of Iraq from day one.

If he endorse Obama, this has  huge meeaning for Obama’s campaign and another blow to Hillary Clinton’s Bid.

Edwards will have a speech at 18:00 GMT in New Orleans.

ChatMaker: Easiest Way to Create Disposable Chat Rooms

chatmaker Its not that pretty, its not advanced, but it sure does what it claims to do. ChatMaker gives you the ability to easily create disposable chat rooms, no registration, no accounts, no logins, simply make a room and users will automatically be given random guest nicknames which can be changed later.

While chatting some IRC-like commands could be used, such as /nick to change the nickname and /me to designate actions, also some HTML codes could be used such as <a> for hyperlinks, <strong> for bold and <I> for italics. As I said it is not advanced, simply just name a chat room and click go and you are in business.

Who is hosting this? Find out who is hosting your favorite websites

whoishostingthis Who is hosting this allows you to know who is hosting any website, simply enter the URL of the website you want to find out who is hosting it and they will give you the answer instantly. They claim that they are right 98% of the time. Although looks very simple, and although there are tons of websites out there related to webhosting and domains, I never saw a website that can strictly just answer “Who is hosting this website?”.

MessageDance: One more Twitter clone

messagedance It all started with Twitter, an easy cool new way for social networking and micro blogging. After a while it became the most famous thing , in case you don’t know, and I really really doubt that you do not know, Twitter simply allows users to send updates on themselves, those are called “Tweets” they are text based posts (140 Character long) submitted to Twitter and displayed on the user’s profile pages. What made Twitter so famous in my opinion is the ability to send those text based posts using either the web, Instant Messengers, PDA, Mobile SMS or 3rd party applications such as Twitterrific.

Since then, more and more Twitter clones came out, claiming they can do a better job, some of those clones are Pownce, Jaiku, Cromple, Tumblr. And the latest of them all is MessageDance which is still in private beta. The main difference between MessageDance and Twitter is that on MessageDance you are not limited to a number of characters per post and you can actually add images and videos. Actually Tumblr allows users to post long posts and include images and videos too.

But its not all good news, MessageDance requires you to install a widget on your blog or website to make your friends know what you are posting and to see what they are posting?! What I cant get is why it is a MUST to install the widget. Installing widgets should always be an option not a requirement.

The way I see it, Twitter is still the best, because none of those clones have the portability Twitter has, they simply depend on posting directly on the web, while on Twitter as said earlier users can post using either the web, Instant Messengers, PDA, Mobile SMS or 3rd party applications.

Mark Larsen of 1040 AM WWBA becomes a Ron Paul supporter after interviewing Mitt Romney on 29/01/2008 (Video)

Mark Larsen of 1040 AM WWBA had an amazing interview with the republican party presidential nominee Mitt Romney, and after discussing cutting taxes for few minutes Mark Larsen mentions Ron Paul strategy for the taxes and Mitt Romeny chuckles and laughs of Ron Paul drove Larsen to support Ron Paul!!!

This interview just shows how candidates run away when asked serious important questions, directly on issues. You just have to hear what Mark Larsen reply was like, an amazing, just amazing summary of what really the US Elections is all about.

Here it is:

IgnoreAll: Clear all your Facebook Applications Requests with One Click

facebookrequests One of the annoying things in Facebook, yes it has many annoying stuff, but I believe one of the most annoying is those application invites we get from friends, especially when you have hundreds and hundreds of friends, you will end up with a clutter that is time consuming to clean out. So if you have been wishing day and night for a way to clear this clutter formed by the hundreds of application requests, today is your lucky day.

IgnoreAll is a JavaScript bookmarklet, clicking it once while the applications request page is opened will automatically choose “Ignore” to all of the application requests, except invites to groups or events or friend requests. Clearing the clutter immediately.

I believe or actually wish that Facebook will eventually create a quick solution directly from facebook, but right now just enjoy using IgnoreAll. No more suffering.

Make3D: Convert your 2D images to 3D online (Video)

Make3D” is an algorithm developed by two Stanford computer scientists,  which can convert any 2D image to 3D model, the model is made in flash so you can fly around and explore the generated 3D model.

“The algorithm uses a variety of visual cues that humans use for estimating the 3-D aspects of a scene, If we look at a grass field, we can see that the texture changes in a particular way as it becomes more distant.” said Ashutosh Saxena, a doctoral student in computer science who developed the Make3d website with Andrew Ng, an assistant professor of computer science.

After all the website is impressive although still in experimental phase and has few bugs, but you can fully convert any image from 2D to 3D but it is best to convert a scenery image rather than an image that includes people because it still does not work well with people.

Here is a video to give you an idea what its all about:

Caroline and Ted Kennedy Endorses Barack Obama (Video)

Senator Edward M. “Ted” Kennedy, a leading icon in the democratic party and the brother of JFK the assassinated president, joined with his son Representative Patrick Kennedy, and niece Caroline Kennedy the daughter of the assassinated president endorsed Barack Obama for the party’s presidential nomination during a rally at the American University in Washington DC.

Sen. Ted Kennedy called Obama “an inspirational uniter”, and each one of the Kennedys linked Obama to John F. Kennedy the iconic Democratic leader who Obama usually is compared to. Sen. Ted Kennedy talked how he always was asked who he will endorse and the answer was that he was going to support the candidate who inspires him:

“Every time I’ve been asked over the past year who I would support in the Democratic primary, my answer has always been the same: I’ll support the candidate who inspires me, who inspires all of us, who can lift our vision and summon our hopes and renew our belief that our country’s best days are still to come. I’ve found that candidate.  And it looks to me like you have too.”

Here is the Video of Sen. Ted Kennedy endorsement:

Sen. Ted Kennedy answered all the points raised by the Clintons, point after point, remark after remark giving a neat summary of all the criticism that the Clintons have been shooting towards Obama since the start of the campaign. Specially since Barack Obama’s win in Iowa which shocked Hillary Clinton’s campaign and made her and her husband Bill Clinton on the offence. Bill Clinton who used to be a respectable and liked ex-president lately became the designated attacker of Obama, attack after attack after attack, in my opinion he is hurting his wife’s bid for the presidency.

The question here is will this endorsement really help Obama, it will help in some areas and especially with Hispanic voters, who Obama’s campaign have been lagging behind Hillary Clinton. Any candidate would love to be endorsed by Sen. Ted Kennedy, but will this help Obama in a huge scale, I do not believe so. Only one week left for the Super Tuesday anyway, we will wait and see, although I really wish to see Obama winning, but I believe those “Super” delegates Hillary Clinton has will save her in the end of the day and she will be the “Democratic Party Presidential Nominee”.

Ron Paul warns about Gulf of Tonkin Incident TWO YEARS AGO !!!

I was checking out youtube today and searching for different kind of new videos for Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Kucinich and Ron Paul, and I found this old video of Ron Paul which was submitted to youtube today. Simply amazing, Ron Paul two years ago have warned that to gain support to nuke Iran either by USA directly or through Israel that a “Gulf of Tonkin” type incident will occur. Again this is before TWO YEARS!!

Ron Paul have been right on many things by now, he predicted a number of things that happened years later, he amazing predicted what will happen if USA invaded Iraq, and that Iran have stopped their nuclear program, and he also predicted the recession that USA is heading towards. Day after day I realize that Ron Paul is simply the real deal, he knows what he is talking about and he simply does not bullshit around like other candidates. My advice to Mr. Paul is that if he did not win as a republican that he needs to enter the presidential race as an independent.
