Facebook Friend Lists, One Step Away from Perfection
December 20th, 2007
Now facebook allows you to organize your contacts into lists, so you can make different groups of friends, such as “Close Friends”, “Colleagues”, “University Buddies” and so on.
Those groups are not shown on your profile, they are only for your own use, to start organizing your friends into groups just click on “Friends” in the menu and click on “Make a New List” then type the name you want to give for the group, then just start typing the names of your friends or click “Select Multiple Friends” to select multiple friends by their pictures. Now you will be able to send messages to specific groups.
The next logical step now is that Facebook would make it possible for us to give access to different groups different parts of our profile, for example you wouldn’t want your work colleagues to see some more personal photos or videos.
